Amazing pizza, better than some of the others in the area. Great atmosphere and the outdoor live performance area is really fun. Definitely check this place out!
UPDATE: The Lost Creek Sky Lodge has re-opened, and I went there for dinner tonight. The interior was basically the same, different tables and chairs, FINALLY the pool table is back in the back room!! Really missed going there and shooting some pool and darts after dinner. Great re-addition. No credit/debit surcharge either! woot woot! The service was fantastic, despite being moderately busy. My server was quick with refills, the food came out in good time, and she checked back in frequently. I ordered the large prime rib, which was on special, a baked potato and the vegetable of the day - which was green beans and bacon. The prime rib was delicious. I've had prime rib at Lewiston Lodge before, and I'd say Lost Creeks was way better. My baked potato was cooked through, and the green beans were a great side. The prime rib came with a zip sauce (im not a fan of zip sauces in general, so this should not surprise you when I say that) it was salty. lol. Im sure its supposed to be that way, Im just very sensitive to salt and it stands out to me probably more than other people. All in all, an excellent dinner. Note to the owner: You have a gem on your hands, with history. The last owner tried to turn it into some kind of fine dining experience, we do not need that up north. The Lost Creek Sky Lodge needs to stick to its roots to sustain, and that is, good food, good drinks, good times. The pool table is going to keep customers there and ordering drinks and appetizers. It will make you money. Heck, if you can get another table, maybe you can get a weekly pool league going. Bring those people in the doors, and keep bringing them in. Your facebook posts (social media IS the new marketing these days) is what caught my eye, and brought me in tonight, I really like seeing your daily specials. My server was great, that is a rarity these days. KEEP IT UP. You got this. On my way home, I called about 5 friends and told them you reopened and it was kicking. THAT'S the kind of response you want to KEEP getting from each and every customer coming through those doors. Wishing the new owners the best success, and if every experience is like it was tonight, you wont need my well wishes, people will be coming in droves! Giving it an AAA+++
Enjoy the atmosphere would definitely recommend the Fried mushrooms the rest of the food was great the little out-of-the-way but would recommend Nice beer selection
If you're this far into the Huron National Forest in northern Michigan there aren't a lot of dining out options, so finding Lost Creek is definitely worth it. (And, by the way, it's not all that lost, it's only a 1/2 mile down an unlit country road - don't be afraid city folk!) Full disclosure, I grew up in Mio and happen to know the current owners and a handful of the servers and bartenders, so it probably shades my opinion, but it also gives me a little credibility don't you think? Whenever I'm in town visiting family we almost always end up at Lost Creek for at least one meal, and for good reason. The menu is pretty standard american bar / grill fare - pizzas, burgers, sandwiches. But they do make the food fresh and it's not shabby. I particularly enjoy the pizza. One of the biggest draws for this place is the draft beer list. In a lot of smaller towns it can be hard to find anything but Bud Light on draft, so their variety is a real treat! You won't be dissapointed. The restaurant has a great bar area, but it's really more of a restaurant and they may close earlier than you expect, so if you're out for a long night of shenanigans you'll probably have to head out elsewhere after dinner.
Great food and atmosphere The staff were friendly and very informative, we would recommend the jalapeño dip
